Grace Over Grind | Ending the performance review with God

Faith wasn't intended to be burdensome.

However, for many of us, it subtly transforms into something resembling a performance review. We find ourselves waking up and mentally assessing our "spiritual stats"—how much we prayed, how patient we were, and whether we made any mistakes that might distance us from God today.

If your connection with God has begun to feel more like pressure than presence, this episode is meant for you.

In Episode 2 of inTENNtional with God, we take a moment to identify what many believers quietly hold: the belief that we must maintain God’s love by behaving well.

Yet, Scripture offers a very different story.

When Grace Becomes Merely a Concept

Ephesians 2:8–10 completely challenges the essence of hustle culture.

Not softly—completely.

Grace is not a prize for being consistent.

It's not something you achieve through spiritual discipline.

And it's not revoked on your difficult days.

Yet, many of us behave as if grace saved us once, and now it's our responsibility to maintain everything.

This episode delves into why that mindset is so draining—and why God never intended faith to function as a transactional system.

Saved by Grace — Sustained by Grace

One of the most liberating truths in Ephesians 2 is this:

You are not saved by good works—but you are saved for them.

This distinction changes everything.

Good works are not the cost of belonging; they are the result of it. Obedience doesn’t secure love—it arises from being loved. When grace is the foundation, growth no longer feels like striving. It feels like having space to breathe.

Paul describes us as God’s handiwork—His poiema, His masterpiece. Not rushed. Not mass-produced. Not conditional.

Your life isn’t a probation period with God. It’s a place of belonging.

An Invitation to Rest (Not Perform)

If your faith journey has seemed like a constant effort to avoid mistakes and maintain goodness, this episode offers you the chance to relax.

Grace is not only the gateway to salvation.

Grace supports you once you are within the embrace of faith.

Your obedience is not a prerequisite for love.

You obey because you are loved.
